This project was to create a photo piece of what heart means to mean, I chose the theme love and decided to do a romantic dull day scene near the river humber.


Working with my camera is the best feeling, I love taking photos and giving direction. Thanks to the models Lucy Stewart and Joe Davies.

Creative Review!

Yessssssss I have finally subscribed to creative review for a whole year! :) this means I will recieve their monographs each month! YAY! Im really very excited.


Anywho, the world of design with me is going ok. Trying to get back into it after my review. Got chunks of research I would like to do so I am going to start on that.


Another thing is I might be going to London in February to see the 4designers conference. So hopefully if all goes well I will get to go there with the uni lot. Also in february I shall be attending D&AD's education day in leeds on the 10th. I can imagine it will be a really interesting and helpful experience and I can't wait!! :)


Oh you should check out Creative Reviews ones to look out for this year. Its in this months issue, really awesome designers/illustrators/photographers in there.

Hey!!


Back after a not so awful weekend. Had chance to organise a couple of photo shoots on my travels to fort paul. It went well and I got some really good photos out of the trip.


At last my review is over, although I have got a lot of work to do im relieved my works been talked through and now I know my next steps for my self initiated work on masks. Im going to look more at how people put on a theoretical mask to hide their true nature and Im also going to focus on personality and portray celebrities/famous peoples personalities on a mask.


I am also going to explore facial disfigurements and look at how people are treated differently because of this. 


What is behind the mask?
Thats my question, and I would like to explore this thoroughly.

However works gone well today, got my photography book sorted although I feel I need a variety of photos, they all seem to be samey at the moment.


I've started log booking again. Im so glad because once I get started on it I come up with more ideas for my self initiated.


Im just sorting all my work out now ready for review, need to buy a couple of folders at weekend and also get ready for a couple of photoshoots at weekend. Its gives me something to look forward to and I love taking my photos and also it builds up my work so yea I am happy about weekends prospects.

Busy Day!

Wow today has been mega buisy, I have been trying to get my mask monograph finished! And I did it!! Im really proud of it! I can't stop looking at it! Not got much to work on now really, I feel like I should have more for my Self Initiated project, well I know I do but there is not enough time before my review to do the experiments I want to. 


Anyway I absolutely LOVE my printer! Its awesome! 


I have also worked on my Personal Manifesto today, I did one piece for it but I wasn't pleased with it at all. So I have worked on something different which I really love! Its interesting and I have used different media to produce it. Its the whole piece that I wanted to do with the projector I was talking about in my last post.

Hey Guys!

Hey people, my day hasn't been so bad today, my printer came so yay, and another yay because its awesome!!!! :) anywho went into uni today to recieve feedback for my dissertation and I must say I am very pleased with the outcome, I seem to be doing well with it just got a few bits and bobs to move around but yes I am pleased. 


Just been working on editing photographs today for my self initiated project with the main theme being 'Masks'. I have a review on Monday 24th January and I am struggling to be up to date with all my projects. I am currently working on a monograph piece for my self initiated after being set different tasks each week by the tutor. Its going well, but I am missing a page that had been set, I need to set up a photoshoot, it's a weekend job because all my models are at school or college!! :)


Haven't really got anything to show you, but I will put up a piece I have been working on for my Typography ISTD project with the theme being 'Fakery' I went down the path of illusions which had led me to sideshow old posters etc.

The Queen Of Hearts

Bite Me!

The whole title of this post is because I decided I am going to call my biscuit typeface Bite Me, for the simple fact that Jamie, the guy I got paired up with to do the task had to buy 26 of our biscuits into the shapes of the alphabet! Poor Guy! So thank you to him!

So im still researching for the stamp project im currently on, British fashion. Research is going well and Im going to start a glue book of fashion! Interesting you say? Yes it will be! (Hopefully) lol :)


On another note, I have been given a projector when I say projector I mean an old school projector where you have the acetate sheets. You all know what I mean...Anyway got a personal manifesto idea for that. Im really motivated at the moment, not to do my work before review (lol) but to be CREATIVE! Yes! :)


Ok so i haven't put anything up on my blog yet really and I want to show you a couple of photos I had taken on a shoot called The Queen Of Hearts, it was for the British Heart Foundation photography competition but it came out a bit raunchy in the end. But they are fantastic photos thanks to the help of my trusty model Lucy Stewart :) Thanks luce!

Today has been AWFUL!

Well my work suffered! Hardly done anything! 
Internet went off, I had a major strop and was in a terrible mood half the day.


Although the morning was tough, the afternoon wasn't so bad.


Im currently researching fashion and postage stamps.
My next project is the RSA competition.
There where 2 briefs but I have chosen the brief to Celebrate the influence of British Fashion in a visually exciting way that would be a joy to use on post.


Therefore I went shopping (because my morning was ruined) and i bought myself some fashion magazines from VOGUE to ELLE :) oh and I did slip myself a copy of creative review in there :D


I must say they are very helpful and I'm heading in a very exciting direction with this one. I won't go on about it now but Im happy I have ideas.


My day got even better when I had a video chat with one of my bestest friends Tiffany :) 
Oh I nearly forgot, I bought myself a sexy new printer;

Can't wait until it comes so I can see what it can do :)

This is it! A New Blog a New Start!

I can't tell you how much I dislike having to post blogs or really doing anything on my MAC. I love getting down with the making and taking snaps of my work. 


Anywho, im doing it, i'd have to sooner or later right? Well this is sooner! :)


Is anyone even watching? Ha I'd really hope so.


Tomorrow, well actually I mean today :/ but later on today, I'll be putting up something for you to see, not sure what yet but i'm sure after tomorrow's shenanigans it will be something interesting :) maybe a photo of my desk after a hard grafting day, or so i hope.
